- Dealer bidding activity
- Interest rates and financing conditions
- Consumer confidence and buying cycles
Can future COE prices be predicted?
Historical data can show direction and volatility, but it cannot reliably predict the next bidding result. COE premiums depend on the available quota, number of bidders, reserve prices and demand during each bidding exercise.
What Is the Difference Between COE Price and PQP?
COE price or Quota Premium
The COE price is determined at the end of each open bidding exercise. Successful bidders in the same category pay the final Quota Premium for that exercise.
Prevailing Quota Premium
PQP is based on the moving average of COE quota premiums during the previous three months. It is the amount used when renewing an existing vehicle’s COE.
